How to Get Into the Next World Samma Event as a Fighter or a Fan

The tickets are moving. The bracket is being drawn. The rings are being set.
Right now, on any live event on the World Samma booking page, you can buy a ticket in about the same time it takes to order lunch, and you do not need to create an account. No sign-up wall, no "verify your email before you continue" detour. You pick your tickets, you check out, and the ticket lands in your inbox.
So whether you're coming to fight or coming to watch the war, this is your guide. Five minutes.
First, the One Thing Everyone Asks: Do I Need an Account?
No.
There are two ways to buy:
- As a guest (fastest). Enter your full name, email, and phone number at checkout. That's it. Your e-ticket is sent to that email and stays tied to your order.
- With an account. Sign in and your orders collect in one place under My Tickets on your dashboard, which is the smarter move if you're coming to more than one event this season.
If you're buying for a whole club or a family of spectators, guest checkout is genuinely easier — one order, several tickets, one payment.
Choosing Your Ticket: Three Doors, One Event
Every event on the site sells tickets in three categories, and they're listed side by side on the event page.
1. 🎟️ Spectator - the front-row seat
This is your ticket if you came to watch. It gets you into the venue, into the seating, and into the noise. It's the cheapest way to see Samma live, and there's a reason plenty of people buy spectator tickets before they ever buy a fighter ticket.
Best for: friends and family, date nights, club supporters, first-time visitors.
2. 🥊 Participant, your entry to the ring
This is the one that puts you in the programme. A participant ticket isn't just an admission slip — it's your registration. When you buy one, the checkout asks you for the details that decide where you land:
- Your level Novice, Intermediate, or Advanced
- Your team or club name
- Your full name, email, and phone
- Date of birth, height, and weight
That last part matters more than you'd think. There are no ugly weight-cut battles and no punishing weight classes here. Your height and weight are used to match you sensibly against someone of similar size and experience, so you meet a real opponent instead of a freight train. It works the same way the matchmaking works for any level of the sport: close ages, close size, close level. No dangerous mismatches, no freak shows.
Best for: registered competitors, club teams, anyone entering their first division.
3. ➕ Add-ons, the extras
Add-ons are the extras: a ring-side upgrade, a programme, a commemorative item, a team banner. If it's on the event page under Add-ons, it's there because the organizer added it for this specific event. Some are limited in number, so if you want one, grab it early.
Before You Pay: The Early-Bird Window Is Doing You a Favour
Some ticket types come with an early-bird price that ends on a specific date. Once the window closes, the price goes up automatically. There's no coupon code to hunt for; the lower price is already applied on the page while the window is open.
So: if you see a crossed-out price next to a smaller one, the small one is the deal, and it has a countdown attached. That's the whole trick.
And If You Hold a Special ID Card, You Pay Nothing
Samma exists to be accessible, and the Special ID Card is how that promise is kept. Card holders get free entry the order is waived at checkout. Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers each carry free event entries, with Gold giving lifetime free entry and lifetime free participation.
If you have a card, don't pay for a ticket. Look for the waiver at checkout.
Paying: Two Ways, Both Live
Once your tickets are in the cart, the sticky Order Summary panel on the event page handles the rest. You get two payment routes:
- Paystack cards and anything else the card rail supports
- M-Pesa the STK push straight to your phone, confirm on your handset, done
Both are live today. Both clear into the same order. Pick whichever is faster for you, and if you're on your phone at the venue, M-Pesa is the smoother tap.
Registration Deadlines Are Real. Here's the Honest Version
Most events set a registration deadline. After it passes, participant entries close so the organizers can draw pairings, sort divisions, and build a run sheet. The event page shows the date in plain text. Spectator and add-on sales usually keep moving longer.
If you see "registration closed" on a fighter ticket, that deadline has passed. Move to the next event on the calendar — there's always another one, and new events are published regularly.
The Part Everyone Skips: Read the Event Page Top to Bottom
Before you check out, open the event page and actually scroll it. It takes ninety seconds, and it saves you from walking into a surprise. It tells you:
- Dates and the full programme window
- Venue and location so you know which city you're actually travelling to
- What's at Stake the prizes, trophies, and qualification slots on offer, listed by division
- Rules & Information the organizer's own event-specific rules
- Your division level, age category, gender category, and whether there's a Special Needs Bracket
That last one matters. Samma runs categories for girls, boys, women, and men, from novice through advanced, and a separate bracket for special needs competitors. If you belong in one of those, you'll see it stated on the event page before you buy — not after.
What Happens After You Pay
- Your e-ticket arrives by email with your order reference and your entry details.
- Keep it on your phone. That's your entry, your division, and your check-in record in one screenshot.
- On event day, you walk in, you check in, you go to your ring.
- After the event, the results are published on the event's own results page - standings, per-category score breakdown, and the podium- and they stay up permanently.
That's the whole lifecycle. Nothing hidden, no surprise fees, no hunting for a confirmation email that never comes.
Coming to Compete for the First Time? Read This Twice
- Check the level honestly. Novice exists, and it's not the easy option — it's where most people should start. Enter Advanced with six months of experience, and you'll meet people who've been doing this for years.
- Bring your details accurately. Your date of birth, height, and weight drive your matchmaking. Wrong data means a bad match, and a bad match hurts your record.
- Know the format before you're in the ring. Samma Pigano is three minutes, three rounds: bakora, striking, ground. Know the rules before your name is called, and you'll spend your fight thinking instead of reacting.
- Tell your coach or club. If you compete for a team, your team name goes on your entry and your result, and it lands on the public results page.
Buying for a Whole Club
If you're bringing ten teammates or a busload of supporters, do it in one order from the event page: add your participant tickets with each person's division and details, add the spectator tickets, check out once, and the whole group's confirmation lands in one email. Then split the reference out to your team however you normally do.
Ready When You Are
The events are open. The tickets are moving. The only thing standing between you and a Samma event is about five minutes and a payment method you already have.
Pick your event, pick your seat - or pick your level - and get in.
